srp
a lot of the other experiemnts seemed to have a lot more errors than me, but them again they were doin something a little more complicated than mine
errors encountered: not accurate timing
not the same sizes and shapes it was an approximation
the first errror was pretty aboidale but it was due to lack of remembering and not being home when the balloons deflated compeletely
also what was the size when the balloon was considered to have deflated completely?
it sort of changed minutely in some balloons
im sjut glad that its all over

this is true though:
so accroding to the reasearch i have done, hairspray and hi-float a substace used to keep balloons inflated for longer are pretty similar in accordance to their mixture
i have done some research and it is said that temperature effects the pressure of the gas inside the Balloon.
Higher Temp. = Higher Pressure = Higher Speed of Deflation
Lower Temp. = Lower Pressure = Lower Speed of Deflation.
i have some results
outside environment:
foil balloon- 4/4/10 3:00 p.m. to 15/4/10 6:30a.m.
normal latex balloon- 4/4/10 3:00 p.m. to 5/4/10 5:00 p.m.
in the fridge:
foil- 4/4/10 3:05 p.m. to 25/4/10 4:00 p.m.
latex- 4/4/10 3:05 p.m. to 10/4/10
at room temperature:
foil-4/4/10 3:10 p.m. to 4/5/10 7:00p.m.
latex-4/4/10 3:10 p.m. to 20/4/10 7:30 a.m.

so accroding to the reasearch i have done, hairspray and hi-float a substace used to keep balloons inflated for longer are pretty similar in accordance to their mixture so i sprayed hairspray on the outside of balloons instead.
i have done some research and it is said that temperature effects the pressure of the gas inside the Balloon.
Higher Temp. = Higher Pressure = Higher Speed of Deflation
Lower Temp. = Lower Pressure = Lower Speed of Deflation.
i have some results
the hairsprayed balloon popped in the outside environment, it lasted from sun 3:00 p.m. to mon 6:30a.m.
the non hairprayed balloons in the outside environment, lasted from sun 3:00 p.. to mon 5:00 p.m.
i think this was due to the cold weather and rain we have been experiencing in the past week. this is most definitely one of the leading factors causing the balloons to pop and deflate quickly

climate graph
independent variables- the temperature of the three different conditions
dependent variable- time it takes for the balloon to deflate
controlled variable- how much air is going to be pumped into the balloon
My SRP is on the deflation of balloons
Aim: to observe the rate of deflation of different materials of balloons under different circumstances
Hypothesis: the higher the temperature the faster the balloon deflates.
Method:
1. Buy 3 already inflated foil balloon
2. Inflate 3 latex balloon to the same size as the foil balloons
3. Place a foil balloon in the fridge
4. Start the timer
5. Place a foil balloon in the backyard
6. Start the timer
7. Place a foil balloon in a room(at room temperature)
8. Start the timer
9. Repeat steps 3 to 8, but with a latex balloon
10. Record results of time taken for the balloons to deflate
11. Repeat the above 10 steps 3 times

Method
1. collect three different material of balloons
- rubber
- latex
- polychloroprene
2. inflate 3 rubber balloons, 3 latex balloons and 3 polychloroprene balloons
3. place a latex, rubber and polychloroprene balloon in an outside environment
4. start the timer
5. place a latex, rubber and polychloroprene balloon in the fridge
6. start the timer
7. place a latex, rubber and polychloroprene balloon in at room temperature
8. start the timer
9. record results
10. repeat steps 2 to 9 three times
SRP
dependent variable- time it takes for the balloon to deflate
controlled variable- how much air is going to be pumped into the balloons
- use the same 3 different materials

i'm going to buy 3 different materials of balloons and place all 3 types in three different conditions. which are:
1. my backyard(outside)
2. oven hot study room
3. the fridge
i'm im going to see which material lasts the longest in each condition then see which balloon last the longest no matter what condition.
